TikTok unfollower tracker: who doesn't follow you back
See who doesn't follow you back on TikTok, using the data download TikTok gives you. No login: the file is read in this browser tab and never uploaded. Analyze a newer download later to see who unfollowed you in between.
No ZIP yet? Request it first (step 1 below); you get an email when it's ready. Already downloaded it? On iPhone it's in the Files app under Downloads, on Android in the Downloads folder.
No ZIP yet? Three steps
-
Request your data from TikTok
Open TikTok's download page (opens in a new tab)Your download is usually ready within minutes to a few hours, and you get an email. Then come back to this page.
Which options do I pick?
In the TikTok app, open Profile → Menu → Settings and privacy → Account → Download your data (on the web: Settings → Download your data), and select:
- All data
- File format: JSON
- Request data
-
Wait until the file is ready
TikTok needs a few hours, sometimes up to a few days. The file then appears under “Download data” and stays available for 4 days.
-
Upload the ZIP here
We read your follower and following lists from user_data_tiktok.json (or Follower.txt and Following.txt).
Your results
History on this device
Only the account names are stored, in this browser. That's how the next analysis can show who unfollowed you.
Safari can delete data that websites saved if you don't visit them for 7 days. Download a backup file to keep your history, and restore it before your next analysis.
How it works
- Request your data in the TikTok app. Tap Profile, then the menu ☰, then Settings and privacy → Account → Download your data. Select all data, so the follower and following lists are sure to be included, choose JSON as the file format and tap Request data.
- Wait for TikTok, then download the ZIP. TikTok says preparing the file may take a few days. When it's ready, open Download your data → Download data and tap Download. The file stays available for up to 4 days.
- Select the ZIP above. You don't need to unzip it. The tool looks for
user_data_tiktok.json(orFollower.txtandFollowing.txtin a TXT download), compares the two lists and opens the result on a separate results page.
If your phone already unpacked the ZIP into a folder, select user_data_tiktok.json from that folder instead, or select Follower.txt and Following.txt together.
The guide to requesting your TikTok data covers the app and desktop menus and what's inside the ZIP. The step-by-step tutorial has the short version. Want to see the results first? Try with sample data loads made-up accounts.
What the results show
The tool matches your followers against the accounts you follow by username. You get these lists, each with a count:
- Don't follow you back: accounts you follow that aren't in your follower list.
- You don't follow back: people who follow you that you don't follow.
- Mutual: accounts where you follow each other.
- All following and All followers: the complete lists from your file.
- Unfollowed you and New followers: added once you analyze a newer download in the same browser (see below).
Each row shows the username, a date from your file where there is one, and a link that opens the profile on TikTok in a new tab. In "Don't follow you back", the date is when you followed that account. TikTok's file doesn't record when someone unfollowed you.
You can search each list, sort it by newest, oldest or A–Z, and download it as a CSV file for Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. The CSV contains the whole list in the sort order you picked, even while a search is active.
"Doesn't follow you back" is not the same as "unfollowed you"
One download is a snapshot. An account on the "Don't follow you back" list may never have followed you (creators, brands, people you followed first), may have unfollowed you at some point, or may have been deactivated. One file can't tell these cases apart. What the list means, why someone who follows you can still show up on it, and how to check one account by hand is explained on who doesn't follow you back on TikTok.
To see who actually unfollowed you, you need a before and an after. All three ways to see who unfollowed you on TikTok are compared in our guide.
How the comparison works
- Remember this result on this device is switched on by default. It saves the usernames from your follower and following lists in this browser's storage (IndexedDB). Nothing is sent to us.
- When you later analyze a newer download in the same browser, the tool compares it with your last saved analysis and adds the Unfollowed you and New followers lists, with the date of that earlier analysis.
- The last five analyses per account are kept. Delete saved history removes them.
What to keep in mind
- "Unfollowed you" also includes accounts that were deleted, banned or deactivated in between.
- Someone who changed their username shows up as one account gone and one new.
- Choose JSON each time. The tool reads your own username only from a JSON download, so a JSON and a TXT analysis aren't compared with each other.
- If your saved analysis seems to belong to a different account, the tool shows no comparison.
- A private window, cleared site data, another browser or another device starts over with no saved history.
Privacy: what happens to your file
The ZIP is opened by JavaScript in this browser tab. From the file with your lists, the tool uses only your follower list, your following list and, in a JSON download, your username. It makes no network request with your file or your results, and it doesn't contact TikTok. That's also why the results show usernames without profile pictures.
There is no account and no paid version. The site shows ads: Google Analytics and AdSense load only if you accept cookies. Details are in the privacy policy.
Check it yourself: load this page, go offline, then select your ZIP. In current browsers the analysis still works. A few older browsers first load a small ZIP helper from this site, which fails offline; selecting the unpacked JSON file works there too.
Why this tool doesn't ask for your TikTok login
Apps that use "Log in with TikTok" can read your profile and your follower and following counts, but TikTok's developer API gives them no list of accounts. The lists are only available through programs with their own approval process: data portability for users in the EEA and UK, and the Research API for approved researchers. An unfollower app that works outside these programs and doesn't use your data download has to get the lists another way: with your password, a copied login session, or by collecting data from TikTok's pages.
TikTok's Help Center says it doesn't share your password with third-party apps and advises against linking your account to apps you don't know. If you've typed your TikTok password into another app, change it, turn on 2-step verification under Settings and privacy → Security & permissions, and check Manage devices there for devices you don't recognize.
We can't say how likely TikTok is to restrict an account for using a particular app; neither TikTok nor the apps publish numbers. The data download avoids the question, because nothing logs in as you.
Limitations
- Not live. Results reflect the moment TikTok created your file. To check again, you need a new download.
- Recent changes can be missing. TikTok notes that the last 24 to 48 hours of some data may not be included.
- No history before your first saved analysis. TikTok doesn't provide a list of past unfollowers.
- Waiting time. You can't check instantly: TikTok needs time to prepare each download.
- Usernames only. The file has usernames and dates, not display names or profile pictures. The tool can't tell whether an account is private, inactive or banned.
- No actions on your account. The tool can't follow or unfollow anyone. You do that yourself in the TikTok app; the guide on how to unfollow someone on TikTok has the steps and what TikTok says about following too fast.
Frequently asked questions
Can I see who unfollowed me on TikTok?
Not directly. TikTok doesn't notify you when someone unfollows you and doesn't offer a list of past unfollowers. One data download shows who doesn't follow you back right now. If you keep "Remember this result on this device" switched on and analyze a newer download later in the same browser, the tool also lists who was a follower last time and isn't anymore.
Do I need to enter my TikTok password?
Not on this site. You request the data download inside the TikTok app, where you're already logged in. Here you only select the file. There is no login field on UnfollowTool.
Does TikTok notify anyone when I check?
No. The tool doesn't connect to TikTok: you open a file you already downloaded, so there is nothing for TikTok to report, and nobody on your lists is told.
How long does the TikTok data download take?
TikTok says it may take a few days to prepare the file. It can be faster, but there is no guaranteed time. When it's ready, TikTok notifies you in the app, and the file stays available for up to 4 days under Download your data.
Should I choose JSON or TXT?
JSON. The tool reads both, but it can read your own username only from a JSON download, and it uses that username to match your saved analyses. Use the same format every time, because a JSON and a TXT analysis aren't compared with each other.
Why is someone who follows me on the list?
The list reflects the moment TikTok created your file, and TikTok notes that the last 24 to 48 hours of some data may be missing. The person may also have followed you after the download was made. Request a fresh download and check again.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?
Yes, in the phone's browser. Select the ZIP from the Files app (iPhone) or your Downloads folder (Android). If the phone already unpacked it, select user_data_tiktok.json from the folder instead, or Follower.txt and Following.txt together.
