See your pending follow requests on Instagram
Open the data export Instagram gives you, and the follow requests you sent to private accounts that haven't accepted yet appear first, with the date of each request. Free, no login: the file is read in this browser tab and never uploaded.

Dans Instagram, ouvrez Paramètres → Espace Comptes → Vos informations et autorisations → Télécharger vos informations → Télécharger ou transférer des informations, puis sélectionnez :
- Certaines de vos informations
- Followers et suivi(e)s
- Format : JSON
- Période : depuis le début

Attendez l’e-mail
Instagram met généralement quelques minutes, parfois quelques heures. Téléchargez ensuite le ZIP via le lien de l’e-mail.

Nous lisons vos listes d’abonnés et d’abonnements (followers_1.json et following.json), ainsi que les demandes en attente et les comptes dont vous vous êtes désabonné récemment, s’ils sont inclus.

Seuls les noms des comptes sont enregistrés, dans ce navigateur. C’est ce qui permet à la prochaine analyse de montrer qui s’est désabonné.
Safari peut supprimer les données enregistrées par un site si vous ne le consultez pas pendant 7 jours. Téléchargez un fichier de sauvegarde pour conserver votre historique, puis restaurez-le avant votre prochaine analyse.
What counts as a pending follow request
When you follow a private account, Instagram sends that person a follow request. Until they accept or decline it, your button on their profile says Requested. Requests to public accounts are accepted automatically, so they never show up here.
Instagram doesn't list your sent requests in one place in the app, but it includes them in your data export as pending_follow_requests.json, in the same folder as your followers and following. This page reads that file and shows every request with the date you sent it.
How to see your pending requests
- Request your data. Open Your information and permissions in Accounts Center, then Export your information → Create export → Export to device. Choose Followers and following, Date range: All time and Format: JSON.
- Download the ZIP when Instagram emails you that it's ready.
- Select the ZIP above. No need to unzip it. The Pending requests tab opens first. Sort by Oldest first to find requests that have been waiting the longest.

Cleaning up old requests
Old requests that were never answered stay pending indefinitely. If you'd rather withdraw them:
- Tap a row to open the profile in a new tab, then tap Requested and confirm. The row turns green, so you can see which ones you've already handled.
- Work in small batches. Instagram doesn't publish limits, but many actions in a short time can trigger a temporary "Try again later" block.
- The same export also shows who doesn't follow you back, and with a second export later, who unfollowed you.
Questions fréquentes
How do I see the follow requests I sent on Instagram?
Request your data from Instagram as a JSON export (Accounts Center, Export your information, Followers and following, All time, JSON). The ZIP contains a file called pending_follow_requests.json. Select the ZIP on this page and the "Pending requests" tab opens first, with the date of each request.
Why do I only see requests to private accounts?
Only private accounts have to approve followers. When you follow a public account, you follow it right away, so there is no request that could stay pending.
How do I cancel a pending follow request?
Open the account's profile in Instagram and tap the "Requested" button, then confirm. The link on each row here opens the profile in a new tab.
Does the other person know when I cancel a request?
Instagram doesn't send a notification when a request is withdrawn. The request simply disappears from their list of requests.
The tab is missing. Why?
Your export has no pending_follow_requests file, which usually means you have no pending requests, or the export didn't include "Followers and following". The other tabs still work.
